Fishing Report: A very popular family lake which provides a Rainbow trout fishery that produces fish up to 2 lbs. throughout the season.
Be sure to visit Fishbc.com for angling information!

Viewscape: Situated in Kane Valley which runs northeast to the southwest on the Thompson Plateau. A very scenic area, with clumps of Ponderosa pine with some Lodgepole pine scattered in large grassy meadows, are found in the northwest. To the southeast you will see much denser patches of Douglas fir, Engelman spruce and occasional Ponderosa pine.

Shoreline: The southwest end has a gentle underwater gradient with a silt bottom as do the bays on the southern shore, the small cove in the middle of the northwest shore, and the northeastern end. In the main part of the lake, the northwestern shore and the southeastern shore have a moderate gradient to the middle of the lake. Above the waterline, the gradient of the northwestern and southeastern shoreline is low to moderate, while the gradient of the ends of the lake is very low. There are some small patches of gravel beach along the northwestern shore but the lake margin is mainly eroded till and and is vegetated to the waterline.

Nearby Lakes

Little Harmon, Englishman, Upper and Lower Kane Lakes, all small scenic lakes, are found just minutes from Harmon Lake. BCFS campsites can be found in this area, making Kane Valley an excellent family camping adventure. Fishing is good with Rainbows up to 2 lbs.

Note: Always check your current BC Fishing regulations before you start fishing a new lake.
