BC Rockies Kootenays
British Columbia Rocky Mountains & The Kootenays

In the west, the Kootenays is rich in history and recreation. The Crowsnest Hwy 3 follows the southern border of BC across the mountains and lush valleys of the Kootenays. North of Castlegar and Nelson various routes take you to large lakes, peaceful communities and outdoor adventure.

In the east, the BC Rockies follow Hwys 93 and 95 as they travel north to south along the Rocky Mountains Trench. This is a land of towering mountains, winding rivers, crystal clear lakes, famous hot springs, world class golf courses and stunning National & Provincial Parks.
